In past few weeks the team has been hard at work squashing bugs and implementing new features. Some of these features have been in the pipeline for a while and are now coming to fruition. The game experience is beginning to feel very solid, thanks to the hard work the team puts in, often working above and beyond what is expected.
The design team is working on bringing more tracks to the game, modelling scenery and texturing everything, striving to bring the best and most exciting experience possible to players. Things are looking beautiful, but we’ll talk more about this process in detail in a future blog.
Meanwhile, the coders are putting the finishing touches to the Upgrade system, which should be implemented into the closed beta build very soon. Players will be able to purchase new engine and chassis parts, enabling them to tweak their car to the playstyle they desire.
Another feature coming closer on the horizon is the Sponsorship system. Sponsors play a vital role in a player’s career; as they advance and their reputation increases they will be given opportunities to sign more lucrative deals, and possibly even an exclusivity deal. These sponsors are real-world sponsors, increasing the immersiveness of the Trackday Manager world.
Finally, we will shortly be unveiling the much-anticipated Leaderboards. Complete with search and filtering features, players will be able to compare their team’s progress with others and compete worldwide to become the absolute best Trackday Manager!
As you can imagine, its busy busy busy in the Arctic Hazard office at the moment. Don’t forget to sign yourself up for beta if you haven’t already, and stay tuned for more updates in the future!
